and
conference sessions from some of the most prominent people in the
security industry.
Amit Yoran
Chairman and CEO, NetWitness Corporation
Since completing a management buyout from Mantech in 2006, Amit
Yoran serves as the Chairman and CEO of NetWitness Corporation,
a leading provider of network security analytic products. Prior
to NetWitness he was Director of the National Cyber Security Division
of Homeland Security, and as CEO and advisor to In-Q-Tel, the venture
capital arm of the CIA. Formerly Mr. Yoran served as the Vice President
of Worldwide Managed Security Services at the Symantec Corporation.
Mr. Yoran was the co-founder of Riptech, a market leading IT security
company, and served as it’s CEO until the company was acquired
by Symantec in 2002. He formerly served an officer in the United
States Air Force in the Department of Defense's Computer Emergency
Response Team.
Mr. Yoran serves as an independent director on the boards of several
innovative security technology companies Boards, including; Guardium,
Digital Sandbox, and IronKey. He previously served on the board
of Cyota until the company’s acquisition by RSA in 2006, Guidance
Software (GUID) through the company’s successful IPO in 2007
and as an advisor to Intruvert Networks until the company’s
acquisition by McAfee in 2003.
Mr. Yoran received a Master of Science degree from the George Washington
University and Bachelor of Science from the United States Military
Academy at West Point.

Richard Jackson
Chief Information Protection Officer, Chevron Corporation
Richard Jackson is the Chief Information Protection Officer &
General Manager of Global Information Risk Management for Chevron
Corporation and is responsible for the identification and management
of risks relative to Chevron’s business information and information
technology assets. In this capacity, Rich is responsible for the
security of Chevron’s worldwide computing infrastructure and
information assets. Other areas of responsibility include data privacy,
records management, information technology intellectual property
rights, SOX compliance (IT Controls) and information technology
export compliance. He also serves as Corporate Champion and provides
information risk management and security consultation services to
Chevron’s operating companies worldwide.
Prior to his current position, Rich held numerous
management positions in Chevron’s Marketing organization including
Manager – McDonald’s Alliance, Manager – Global
Aviation Fuel Sales, Manager – Lubricants National Account
Sales and Plant Manager – Lubricants Manufacturing and Distribution
Center.
Rich formerly served as Chairperson of the American
Petroleum Institute’s Information Technology Security Forum
and Executive Director of the FBI’s San Francisco Bay Area
InfraGard Chapter. Rich earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical
engineering from Howard University and a master's degree in business
administration from Pepperdine University.

Fred Cohen is best known as the inventor of computer virus defense
techniques, the principal investigator whose team defined the information
assurance problem as it relates to critical infrastructure protection,
as a seminal researcher in the use of deception for information
protection, and as a top flight information protection consultant
and industry analyst.
James Connor
Principal, N2N Security
James Connor, a top ten mover and shaker according to Security Technology
and Design magazine, provides an enlightening, yet pragmatic view
of current and emerging opportunities to manage risk more effectively
by integrating physical and information technology controls. This
session includes an overview of approaches to integrate global security
operations, access control, CCTV-video, biometrics, analytics, system
automation, and related privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
considerations.
Richard Hren
Director of Product Marketing, SPSS
Richard Hren is currently the Director of Product Marketing at SPSS
where he specializes in data mining applications. He has been working
in the field of direct and database marketing for well over 20 years,
creating analytically driven solutions for mission critical sales
and marketing problems. During that span, he has held positions
with large corporations (e.g., Montgomery Ward Insurance, Sears
Catalog, Ameritech/SBC, RR Donnelley), as well as smaller consultative
and data services companies (e.g., Claritas, MDS, Nykamp Consulting),
and a stint at a large ad agency (OgilvyOne). He has been deeply
involved in the development of several recognized commercial segmentation
systems: PRIZM, P$YCLE, Silhouette, and FinSegments.
Richard is an active member of the Chicago Association of Direct
Marketing (CADM) and has been a frequent lecturer and conference
speaker. He has also served on the faculty of the Pennebaker Direct
& Interactive Marketing Certificate Program at De Paul.

Liam Lynch
Marketplaces - Chief Security Strategist, eBay, Inc.
Liam joined eBay in May of 2002, where he was Security Architect
in the Architecture group. He served as Chief Security Architect
for eBay marketplaces and consulted for marketplaces adjacencies.
He created the security framework for the Java platform, Payment
Gateway, Billing, and Customer Support systems. Liam also presents
architecture presentations and labs at the eBay developers’
conference and will speak at industry forums throughout 2008. In
June, he moved to Marketplaces Information Security to work for
Dave Cullinane (CISO) to create programs for predictive security
for the world’s largest e-commerce platform. Prior to joining
eBay, he worked in Security Architecture at Sybase and in Security
Architecture in Military, Government, Health Care, and Telecommunications
industries.
Tim Mather

David Pollino
Online Risk Officer, WaMu.com
David Pollino is currently the online risk officer for WaMu.com.
He has a strong background in information security and online fraud.
David is also an information security author and conducts research
focusing on wireless and security technologies. During his career
he has worked as a security consultant at @stake, managed online
risk as well as information security investigations and employee
surveillance at a large financial services company, and was a security
architect at a tier 1 Internet Service Provider. David frequently
speaks at security events and has frequently been quoted in the
press on security issues in online and printed journals. David has
authored such books as RSA Press: Wireless security, The Hacker's
Challenge Books 1, 2 and 3, and Hacking Exposed: Wireless.

Stephen S. Wu
Partner, Cooke Kobrick & Wu LLP
Stephen Wu is a partner in the Silicon Valley law firm Cooke Kobrick
& Wu LLP. He helps technology startups with business formation,
software licensing, Internet-related agreements, other technology
agreements, and corporate governance. Mr. Wu’s practice also
includes confidentiality and employment agreements, intellectual
property litigation, and general commercial litigation. He serves
as outside general counsel to Silicon Valley startups and other
businesses. He also advises clients concerning e-discovery, digital
evidence, and legal matters relating to information security and
privacy. Finally, Mr. Wu advises clients concerning new media, social
networking, and virtual worlds, and will be one of four lawyers
featured in an upcoming feature article in the California Lawyer
magazine on lawyers’ activities in the virtual world Second
Life.
